Loch Lomond Distillery is a distillery whose story is as compelling as the beautiful Loch Lomond landscape. The first mention of a distillery on the shores of this picturesque loch dates back to 1814, near Tarbet at the north end of the loch, but the exact date of closure of this original distillery has been lost to history, leaving few records behind.
The current Loch Lomond distillery, established in 1965 through the initiative of the former owners of the Littlemill distillery in Bowling, a few miles from Glasgow, continues the tradition of Scotch whisky production with endless passion and innovation.
